Tarang's first ever CD was released on Saturday 7th February 2009, at the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre. The CD includes tracks which are at times lilting and scintillating, funky and divine, and is a fine example of contemporary Indian music.

The CD features dynamic new compositions by Ranajit Sengupta, Veenai Jayanthi, Pt Tarun Bhattacharya, Pt Debashish Bhattacharya, Sri Ashit Desai and Dr Rajeeb Chakraborty. The CD, tutored by Music Directors Manorama Prasad and Sanju Sahai, features music that is unique and new, based in North and South Indian Classical Music.

The London Premiere of Four Seasons by Tarang is at the Purcell Room this February. The new composition by Dr Rajeeb Chakraborty features music that reflects the Indian subcontinents view of nature and seasonal beauty.

Dr Rajeeb Chakraborty, composer of Four Seasons, (pictured left), has used both instrumental and melodic devices to take listeners on a journey through the Indian calendar that is a new concert experience!

Tarang's return to Dartington

On Saturday 11th April, Tarang returns to The Great Hall at Dartington for a performance of Four Seasons. This last concert on the 2008-9 tour is a special one, as Dartington has been home for three years to our Summer Retreat. The Four Seasons, created in Dartington, will be performed in the beautiful surroundings of Dartington Hall Estate, in the atmospheric Great Hall.
